CALL HOME is a product of the Econet Wireless Group of companies, developed and managed by Econet Wireless South Africa in conjunction with Econet Wireless Zimbabwe, Econet Telecoms Lesotho, Liquid Telecoms and South African mobile operator Cell C.
Leveraging Econet’s market presence in Zimbabwe and Lesotho and recognising that the special needs of the many immigrants from these countries living in South Africa were largely ignored by South African mobile operators, Econet created and introduced the CALL HOME product in early 2009. Since then, Econet has continued to develop and enhance the CALL HOME service offering with the unique needs of Africans and the African Diaspora in our hearts and minds. Our goal with CALL HOME is to create an extended Econet Family spanning countries and continents and – for these valued customers – a World where Life and Love Have No Borders!
