The Italia hotel is the oldest hotel in Asmara. Built in 1899, it was completely renovated in 2004 by Johannes Primo, with the collaboration of the architect Carlo Iachino, who wanted to keep the history of over 100 years intact.

All the rooms of the hotel are, in fact, furnished with furniture dating back to the beginning of the last century and the resulting atmosphere is welcoming and luxurious.
