Chez MEMERE comprises of two self catering 1 bedrooms “COLIBRI” (French for Hummingbird) often seen picking at the flowers and “COCCINELLE” (Ladybird).

Situated in a quiet and cool area of La Misere, Chez Memere has 2 warm and cosy 1 bedroom apartments, great for a romantic holiday, with a single sofabed for a third person, a well equiped kitchen, private veranda and a small garden to admire the view of a few inner islands. Surrounded by flora and fauna, it could well be a mini sanctuary for birds, as
hummingbirds (Colibri) come right up for the sap in the flowers in the garden, whilst bats (sovsouris) fight in for a ripe jackfruit in the nearby tree, whilst the Tropicbird, (Paie en queue) soars gracefully above, flyinf to and from their nests. A river flows at the end of the property and after a good rainfall, the sound of the water gushing down is soothing and calming, if you are into nature. A two minute walk up Kennedy Road will take you to the Exotic Garden which is also a Beer Garden, opening though from 9am – 5pm with a small Entrance Fee. Our small community chapel, Sacred Heart of Jesus is a two minute walk down towards the main road, with Bus Stops going both ways. 15 minute ride to Victoria, our small capital, and a 15minute ride going to the South West Coast to Barbarons, Anse La Mouche, or Grand Anse, Port Launay, Baie Ternay on the Southern Point. We can be considered Central as it is easy to access everywhere epacially if you have a car. We, on the otherhand like to Welcome our Visitors and make them feel like part of the family.
