The bank was incorporated as a limited liability company in 5th January 1994 with registration number: RC: 235676 and commenced Community Banking operation in the same year. The bank received the final (CBN) Central Bank of Nigeria approval to carry on all aspects of Community Banking business on 25th May 2004.

Oke-Bola Community Bank Nigeria Limited, now known as Crest Microfinance Bank Nigeria Ltd, is a unit branch banking system, that operates in a 40 years leased corporate office situated at Mobolaji House 43, Obafemi Awolowo Way, Opposite Rational building, Oke-Bola Ibadan.

The share capital of the bank on incorporation was N1,000,000:00 and subsequently increased to N5,000,000:00 through the creation of additional 4,000,000 ordinary share in 2002. After securing the Central Bank of Nigeria approval to become a Microfinance Bank with an authorized share capital of N25,000,000:00, in March, 2009 the bank increased her authorised share capital to N100,000,000:00. The bank shareholder’s fund is over N30,000,000.

The bank has branches in Okeho and Iganna in Kajola  and Iwajowa Local Government area and a cash centre at Ido town in Ido Local Government Council. There were several clients’ meeting centres to facilitate business discussion with credit clients.
