Urbank Microfinance Bank Ltd, formerly known as Ogui-Urban Community Bank Nigeria Ltd, was incorporated on 24th April 1992, and was issued license to transact business of community banking by the National Board for Community Bank on June 30th 1992.

Its was commissioned on 17th July, 1992 and commenced banking operation at the same date. The  bank has it head office located at No. 62 Onyiuke Street, Ogui New Layout, Enugu State. it migrated into full Microfinance Bank on February 28, 2008.

Urban Microfinance Bank is one of the oldest Microfinanace Banks in Enugu State. it is among the first Community Bank to migrate into full Microfinance Bank after meeting the CENTRAL BANK of NIGERIA CAPITALIZATION REQUIREMENTS.
