Afemai MFB was incoporated in December, 1992 as a limited liability company with Registration number  RC 185085. It commenced business in May 1994 as a community Bank and obtained CBN approval for conversion to Microfinance Bank in September, 2007.  It further attained the Operating license for a State Microfinance Bank  in October 2013.
