Eso-e Microfinance Bank Limited started operation as a community bank incorporated and licensed to carry out community banking on December 12 1993.

The Bank operated for several years successfully as a community bank until the banking reform of 2006 when the bank decided to transform unto a microfinance Bank.

A license to carry on unit Microfinance Bank was then issued to the bank on August 12 2008 after a successful transformation

After operating successfully as a Unit Microfinance Bank our Bank, in 2014, opted to transform to a State Microfinance Bank and subsequently applied to the Central Bank for a license which was granted in November of the same year.

Eso – E MFB was registered in Nigeria under the provisions of the Companies and Allied Matters Act CAP C20 LFN 2004 with registration number RC 236976.
