Two self catering villas and sixteen individual suites situated in lush gardens surrounding the main house on the edge of indigenous forest with breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and Tsitsikamma Mountains. Superb breakfasts are served out on the boma deck in the warmth of the morning sunshine, while scrumptious communal dinners are served in the conviviality of the candle-lit main house.
A family owned, established and run business, Hog Hollow focuses on employing people from the surrounding communities to work and grow tourism and in 2005 became the 13th property in South Africa to become Fair Trade in Tourism accredited.
Mindful of their “footprint” on the planet, in 2008, received the Wilderness Foundation Green Leaf accreditation – one of the first six properties in South Africa.
Laze at the long blue pool, sauna, enjoy the surrounding natural beauty on horse-back with Hog Hollow Horse Trails, a guided tour on foot or horse drawn carriage of our permaculture farm, The Good Earth, or walk through indigenous forests to either Monkeyland primate sanctuary, Birds of Eden or the Elephant Sanctuary. Other attractions include over 50 charted walks, pristine beaches of Plettenberg Bay and surrounds, surfing, stand up paddle boarding, golf, canoeing, bungy jumping (the world’s highest -216m!!), boat-based whale and dolphin watching, a treetops canopy walk.
