Kitabi Eco-Center (KEC) is located just 2 km from the Eastern entrance to Nyungwe National Park. It sits atop Mount Kitabi, and offers one of the most spectacular, panoramic views in all of Rwanda: terraced farms perched on endless hills; light green tea plantations that frequent this region; the dark green trees of Nyungwe Forest; and a seemingly endless sky. You have to be here to experience it! We have 8 campsites, and if needed, you can rent camping equipment. KEC also has a replica of the Nyanza King’s Palace for overnight stays. There is a Queen bed there, and you can add additional mattresses, if necessary. We also have 2 Prince’s Palaces with two twin beds each. We have a bar/resto with a great view! We also have amazing food, Rwandan coffee, and tea picked and processed nearby. We also offer EcoTours around the park with a focus on the evironment, local medicinal plants, and stories of successful conservation efforts in the community. So, please, come stay with us!
