Jeffreys Bay is surrounded by a number of geographical; climatic and vegetation variants namely forests, fynbos, valley bushveld, semi-arid Karoo.
30 Minutes to the southwest is the forests of Tsitsikamma with rainfall of 2500mm annually, this is also one of the biggest dairy farm areas in South Africa. Adjacent to this, separated by a mountain range, lies one of the biggest deciduous fruit producing areas in the country – called the Langkloof where the mountain peaks are occasionally covered with snow in the winter.
30 Minutes north west lies the Gamtoos Valley one of the biggest citrus producing areas in the country.
In the same area is the Wilderness and mountainous terrain known as Baviaanskloof Nature Reserve is a nature lover’s dream.
40 Minutes north east lies the semi-arid Karoo region known for its sheep; goats and angoras. Game farms is becoming a very big industry in this area, hunters from all over the world come here for their trophy hunting.
Mozambique sea current – People who want to fish in the warm current for Marlin and other tropical fish, can travel 60-80 km into the deep-sea to fish in the warm Mozambique current.
There are various nature reserves; game reserves and coastal parks as well.
