Nyambene Arimi Dairy Farmers Cooperative Ltd is a registered marketing society under the Ministry of industrialization and Enterprise Development (CS. no. 15746). Its area of operation Nyambene region (Igembe South, Igembe North, Igembe Central & Tigania ) in Meru County. The society is situated in Maua town, Arimi Sacco plaza. The society has a membership over 10,000 Dairy farmers both active and inactive.

In 2012 Nyambene Arimi Sacco ltd upon realizing that the farmers were doing well in the streamlined tea sector and worse on the milk, that decided to open a subsidiary to assist the dairy farmers who majority happened to be also the tea farmers.The Sacco ensured the registration of the dairy cooperative society to ensure the needs of the dairy farmers were catered for. The farmers deliver their milk to the dairy cooperative of which the payment is made through the sacco where they can access the credit facilities to cater for their needs. The cooperative has seven management committee and three supervisory committee members who represent members from different zones. It serves over 10,000members.

Presently the cooperative collects an average of six thousand litres per day. The society has a consumer shop and Artificial Insemination  services offered by competent and qualified trained inserminators.
