“Rap Radio” as it was originally called, was founded in 2003 as a live Rap/Hiphop show on 92.8 (now 92.9 in 2017) Coal City FM, which aired for five years, from 2003 – 2007. In 2008, we went back to the drawing board for we were restless about containing the ardent followership and maintaining “kulture” as the vision grew. The vision being to bring rap music in its true essence which refers to the dopest, most creative songs to the fore, to our mainstream, to let the world hear Hiphop in its real form. We start with Africa’s finest to the world. The current state of Hiphop never stopped propelling us. Fast-forward to now, its rebirth is complete. Let’s get back to our basics!
