The lodge is situated on a 10 000 acre private game reserve in the renowned Tuli Block of Southern Botswana. The lodge is set on the banks of the mighty Limpopo River and each chalet has an unspoilt view of the river. The area is famous for its large herds of free-roaming elephants as well as zebra, wildebeest, impala, waterbuck and many others too.  Lion, leopard, hyena, cheetah and wild dog also inhabit the area and are often sighted on the reserve. The area is a rugged mix of bushveld and rocky outcrops and forms part of the greater Tuli Conservation Area in the southeastern corner of Botswana. Terrafou is approximately 4.5 hours drive from Gaborone and OR Tambo International Airport.
