You will live in a lodge decorated with antiques and fine art from Europe, Asia and Africa. Lodge life mostly happens on the large covered veranda, furnished with sofas, chairs and tables, and a summer kitchen and dining area. A refreshing swim in the pool is only a few steps away. On cold days, life moves indoors to the open plan hall that includes a kitchen, dining room and lounge with an open fireplace. The wine cellar also has a cosy bar, where good fun and company lifts the spirits. Healthy and tasty meals are are made from home grown vegetables, venison, lamb, beef, chickens, eggs. We offer our guests a choice of cuisines. Besides a good venison braii and other hearty dishes from South Africa, Austria, France and Italy, we offer the exquisite flavors we enjoyed in Singapore, Hong Kong and Lebanon. English language TV channels are available to follow the news and major sporting events. And for entertainment, we have a large library of books and movies. You will be able to keep in touch with the outside world via cell phone and wireless internet. Exploring the bush on a horse is a wonderful way to experience wildlife. You will see much more than on foot or from a vehicle and you will be able to get closer to the game animals. 4 horses are available for guests who want to ride on the farm. They are well trained, reliable and easy to ride. The rides vary in pace and duration and are tailored to suit our guests. We practice safe riding for the sake of both rider and horse. Riders will be guided by an experienced staff member. We have body protectors and helmets in various sizes. Tack and equipment is kept in perfect condition. Guests can choose between english saddles, an australian stock saddle and South African hand made endurance saddles.
