We are an eco lodge on three acres of land at the beach on rusinga Island. We are practicing permaculture and promoting sustainable organic farming and living and environmentally friendly tourism in general.

Opened in 2011 with Permaculture practices as a goal, Wayando Beach Eco  Lodge strives to promote sustainability, birds and wildlife, organic gardening, composting and recycling, blended with gardens and forest, beauty and relaxation, good food and friendly service. Toilets are composted sawdust and do not flush with water. A safe, clean, trash free island is our ultimate goal.Rooms are found in Bandas.  Each one has a name and unique style.  You pick which one fits your needs. All toilets are sawdust composting. Outside ones are available to all as well for total privacy and solitude.
