Il abrite de nombreuses esp\u00e8ces animales end\u00e9miques dont le paon congolais et une des espaces rares de singes, les Bonobos.<\/p>\n<p>Salonga est le paradis pris\u00e9, l\u2019eldorado m\u00eame des biologistes. L\u2019acc\u00e8s au parc est tr\u00e8s difficile et n\u2019est possible qu\u2019\u00e0 pied ou en pirogue. Au tout d\u00e9but de sa cr\u00e9ation, le parc contenait une multitude d\u2019animaux. Le nombre des \u00e9l\u00e9phants avoisinait 140 000 individus. Un amas de richesse en mati\u00e8re de biodiversit\u00e9.<br \/>\nMalgr\u00e9 sa taille et son apparente inaccessibilit\u00e9 un tableau assombrit la face de cette merveille. Il s\u2019agit notamment de l\u2019extinction de la faune et de la flore.<br \/>\nEn effet, des \u00e9tudes ont montr\u00e9 que les populations animales ont diminu\u00e9 durant la p\u00e9riode d\u2019instabilit\u00e9 politique. Les rivi\u00e8res offrent des voies d\u2019acc\u00e8s ais\u00e9es aux braconniers et aux groupes arm\u00e9s qui p\u00e9n\u00e8trent profond\u00e9ment dans le parc pour ramener ivoire et viande de brousse.<br \/>\nEn 2006 une \u00e9tude estimait les bonobos \u00e0 14.800 individus.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>La RDC abrite l\u2019une des merveilles du monde; le parc national de la Salonga.
