Au moment o\u00f9 l\u2019Afrique g\u00e9n\u00e8re 5,8 % de la production mondiale de coton et emploie plus de 450\u2009000 personnes dans cette industrie, la Commission \u00e9conomique des Nations Unies pour l\u2019Europe (Unece) et l\u2019Union africaine (UA) tentent de renforcer leurs liens en la mati\u00e8re. Le 7e forum des affaires entre les deux partenaires a \u00e9t\u00e9 l\u2019occasion pour 15\u2009000 experts, membres de gouvernements, d\u2019organisations internationales et professionnelles venus en \u00c9gypte, de d\u00e9battre de la n\u00e9cessit\u00e9 de renforcer la durabilit\u00e9 de l\u2019industrie de la mode et de l\u2019habillement.<\/p>\n

Les \u00e9changes ont permis de constater que l\u2019industrie de l\u2019habillement et de la chaussure en Afrique subsaharienne p\u00e8se 31 milliards de dollars et devrait cro\u00eetre de 5 % jusqu\u2019en 2024. Mais avant cette \u00e9ch\u00e9ance, les deux parties se sont accord\u00e9es sur l\u2019impl\u00e9mentation de la \u00ab\u2009blockchain\u2009\u00bb, une strat\u00e9gie pour asseoir la collaboration commerciale entre l\u2019Europe et l\u2019Afrique en mati\u00e8re d\u2019approvisionnement en mati\u00e8res premi\u00e8res et d\u2019exportation des cr\u00e9ations africaines.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
