Ces \u00ab jetons non-fongibles \u00bb, pour leur traduction fran\u00e7aise, permettent la mise en place d\u2019un certificat num\u00e9rique d\u2019authenticit\u00e9, notamment sur les \u0153uvres d\u2019art. Une invention permettant aux photographies, certifi\u00e9es, d\u2019\u00eatre vendues en peu d\u2019exemplaires. Adepte de ce nouveau mode de distribution, The Bridge Gallery a lanc\u00e9 trois collections depuis son ouverture, reflets de la diversit\u00e9 des pratiques photographiques des artistes africain\u00b7es et\/ou issu\u00b7es de la diaspora. L\u2019objectif ? Mettre la technologie au service de la cre\u0301ativite\u0301, de la culture et de l\u2019expression des auteurices. Outre la dimension num\u00e9rique, la galerie entend aussi et surtout promouvoir la cr\u00e9ation africaine contemporaine, dont l\u2019arriv\u00e9e sur le march\u00e9 de l\u2019art demeure tr\u00e8s r\u00e9cente. En allant chercher de nouveaux publics, les artistes et galeristes nourrissent l\u2019espoir d\u2019un d\u00e9passement des st\u00e9r\u00e9otypes affili\u00e9s \u00e0 la photographie du continent. En parall\u00e8le, la galerie pr\u00e9voit d\u2019organiser des expositions physiques afin de multiplier les supports, et son soutien \u00e0 celles et ceux qu\u2019elle repr\u00e9sente.<\/p>\n<p>Trois collections pour trois regards sur l\u2019identit\u00e9 et la culture africaine<br \/>\nLe 18 octobre 2022, la premi\u00e8re collection de The Bridge Gallery est lanc\u00e9e. Une s\u00e9rie de trente-cinq photos intitul\u00e9e The Essence of Color du jeune artiste ghane\u0301en Sarfo Emmanuel Annor c\u00e9l\u00e9brant la diversite\u0301 et la richesse de la culture Ghane\u0301enne \u00e0 travers un travail sur la the\u0301rapie des couleurs. Des portraits aux tons satur\u00e9s et vifs valorisant la jeunesse de son pays natal. Cinq jours plus tard, quinze nouvelles photos font l\u2019objet d\u2019une mise en vente : la s\u00e9rie Adorned du Nig\u00e9rian Asiko. Jouant avec les silhouettes de femmes, le photographe y questionne l\u2019identite\u0301, la culture et son propre h\u00e9ritage africain. Les personnages f\u00e9minins, gracieux et puissants, orn\u00e9s de bijoux et amulettes, y sont captur\u00e9s avec une admiration enfantine, renvoyant au rapport de l\u2019auteur \u00e0 sa m\u00e8re.<\/p>\n<p>La r\u00e9flexion sur l\u2019identit\u00e9 des femmes africaines est \u00e9galement au c\u0153ur de la troisi\u00e8me collection pr\u00e9sent\u00e9e par The Bridge Gallery \u2013 dont la date de lancement sera bient\u00f4t annonc\u00e9e. En collaboration avec l\u2019artiste Ange\u0300le Etoundi Essamba, qui a r\u00e9cemment rejoint la collection permanente du MoMA, la s\u00e9rie Symbols questionne la relation entre tradition et modernit\u00e9 et le rapport \u00e0 la maternit\u00e9 des femmes noires.
