Il s&rsquo;agit des Grottes d&rsquo;Hercule, situ\u00e9es \u00e0 seulement 14 kilom\u00e8tres \u00e0 l&rsquo;ouest du centre de Tanger.<\/p>\n<p>Ouvertes au public, les Grottes d&rsquo;Hercule sont de magnifiques grottes de calcaire auxquelles plusieurs mythes grecques sont associ\u00e9s. En effet, selon la mythologie, ce serait en ces lieux que le fils de Pos\u00e9idon (le cyclope Polyph\u00e8me) aurait v\u00e9cu. Un autre mythe veut que le c\u00e9l\u00e8bre Hercule s&rsquo;y soit repos\u00e9 apr\u00e8s avoir r\u00e9alis\u00e9 les douze travaux \u2013 une histoire qui donna son nom aux grottes. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9, les Grottes d&rsquo;Hercule sont un site historique, car elles auraient \u00e9t\u00e9 creus\u00e9e durant l&rsquo;\u00e8re n\u00e9olithique.<\/p>\n<p>Aujourd&rsquo;hui, les Grottes d&rsquo;Hercule sont un superbe et surprenant site touristique. Elles sont ouvertes \u00e0 la visite, tous les jours de 9h \u00e0 20h (des horaires qui peuvent varier selon la saison).
