Dans le paysage lugubre d\u2019une cour d\u2019usine poussi\u00e9reuse, un corps s\u2019enflamme. Le spectateur est brusquement propuls\u00e9 quelques ann\u00e9es en arri\u00e8re, en cette tragique journ\u00e9e du 17 d\u00e9cembre 2010 o\u00f9, apr\u00e8s qu\u2019on lui a une fois de plus confisqu\u00e9 son outil de travail, une charrette, le jeune Tunisien Mohamed Bouazizi s\u2019immole par le feu devant le si\u00e8ge du gouvernorat de Sidi Bouzid.<\/p>\n<p>La suite du film pourrait para\u00eetre sans lien avec cette introduction aussi brutale qu\u2019inattendue. Plumes semble en effet prendre une direction sans rapport direct avec l\u2019acte d\u00e9sesp\u00e9r\u00e9 du jeune vendeur ambulant, qui marqua symboliquement le d\u00e9but des Printemps arabes de 2011.<\/p>\n<p>Dans le huis clos d\u2019un petit appartement aux murs sales, Omar El Zohairy filme la vie quotidienne d\u2019un couple \u00e9gyptien et de ses enfants. L\u2019homme (Samy Bassouny) travaille dans l\u2019usine toute proche et r\u00e8gne sur sa famille en patriarche autoritaire.
