Tout bon bois de r\u00e9sonance doit \u00eatre coup\u00e9 radialement, ce qui signifie que les lignes form\u00e9es par les anneaux de croissance du bois sont parfaitement parall\u00e8les \u00e0 la surface. Il doit avoir un grain r\u00e9gulier, \u00eatre d\u00e9pourvu de d\u00e9fauts et ne pas se r\u00e9tracter ni gonfler notablement en cas de changements climatiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dans le monde entier, les violons sont le plus souvent fabriqu\u00e9s \u00e0 partir de&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/caseytrees.org\/2019\/07\/tonewoods\/\">bois de r\u00e9sonance d\u2019\u00e9pic\u00e9a ou d\u2019\u00e9rable<\/a>, des arbres qui poussent dans l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re nord. Et si les bois africains end\u00e9miques de l\u2019h\u00e9misph\u00e8re sud \u00e9taient utilis\u00e9s pour cr\u00e9er un violon africain&nbsp;? Nous&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/sajs.co.za\/article\/view\/11175\">avons entrepris<\/a>&nbsp;de tester les diff\u00e9rents bois du continent et avons trouv\u00e9 quatre esp\u00e8ces qui pourraient faire l\u2019affaire, et m\u00eame tr\u00e8s bien fonctionner.
