\u00c0 chaque grand carrefour de la capitale, des vendeurs proposent des sauterelles aux passants, qui se les arrachent. Dans des paniers, \u00e0 m\u00eame le sol ou encore directement dans des casseroles, ces insectes n\u2019ont rien de repoussant. \u00ab\u00a0\u00c7a a un peu le go\u00fbt de la viande, ou bien du poulet\u00a0\u00bb, explique une passante. La plupart de ces petites friandises viennent de Masaka, dans le centre de l\u2019Ouganda. Certains hommes sont chasseurs de sauterelles. Tous les jours, ils installent quelques barils align\u00e9s, avec sur les dessus des plaques de taule ondul\u00e9e, un pi\u00e8ge savamment mis en place. \u00ab\u00a0On doit l\u2019installer chaque jour et le d\u00e9faire tous les matins. C\u2019est comme cela qu\u2019on r\u00e9cup\u00e8re ce qu\u2019il contient\u00a0\u00bb, explique Ibrahim Katongole, chasseur de sauterelles.<\/p>\n

Lorsque la nuit tombe, il ne reste plus qu\u2019\u00e0 allumer des ampoules suraliment\u00e9es qui crachent leur lumi\u00e8re aveuglante et se refl\u00e8te sur la taule. Ce pi\u00e8ge lumineux attire toutes les sauterelles \u00e0 la ronde. \u00ab\u00a0Celles qui passent dans le ciel tombent contre les plaques de taule, et glissent dans le baril. On attend jusqu\u2019au petit matin pour en r\u00e9cup\u00e9rer un maximum\u00a0\u00bb, pr\u00e9cise-t-il. Une fois vendues sur le march\u00e9 \u00e0 un prix fluctuant, elles sont pr\u00e9par\u00e9es par des centaines de petites mains qui retirent les ailes, les pattes et la queue.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
