Adeyipo made this during an anniversary of CWG, organised to celebrate the 30 years of repositioning Africa to maximise the future.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the event, he said \u201cThe demands for technology skills, increase in foreign direct investment and angel investors activities in Nigeria and, by extension, in Africa has its root in CWG and a few other organisations in Nigeria.\u201d<\/p>\n
He added that \u201cThe digital technology revolution we are experiencing in Nigeria and, by extension, in sub-Saharan Africa, can be considered a subset of many years of labour and commitment of certain individuals, organisations, and institutions.<\/p>\n
\u201cSome of them are present here tonight. We salute their audacity to dream and follow through with a plan despite the known and somewhat imposing challenges.<\/p>\n
\u201cThese people and organisations believe that the right adoption of technology can bridge some of the challenges we see around us in Africa.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe gaps in healthcare, high unemployment, insecurity and social polarisation, to mention a few. They are committed to seeing a change.\u201d<\/p>\n
The Founder of CWG, Mr Austin Okere, and others who spoke during interview session, said the vision of the company was to be the most preferred technology solutions company out of Africa driven by the mission to power impactful solutions in order to position Africa to maximise the future by enabling future shapers and supporting tipping point innovation.<\/p>\n
Austin said the company started as Computer Warehouse Group in 1992, but has now grown to be listed on the Nigerian Stock Exchange as well as operating in 17 countries in the world after only 30 years of existence.<\/p>\n
The event was organised to celebrate the staff, clients, ex-staff, friends and family of the company\u2019s 30 years to reward and honour them for their efforts and contributions for working with the company to attain this milestone.<\/p>\n
