The meeting was between Katara General Manager, Prof. Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, Unesco Representative for the Gulf States and Yemen and Director of the Unesco Office in Qatar, Salah El Din Zaki Khaled, and World-renowned Nigerian fashion designer\u202fSidahmed Seidnaly (a.k.a. Alphadi) and also Unesco Artist for Peace and Unesco Goodwill Ambassador for African innovation and creation.<\/p>\n
Prof. Dr. Al Sulaiti said: \u201cIt was a fruitful meeting in which we discussed ways to support the joint cultural movement, opportunities for cultural, intellectual and creative exchange, and the development of cultural programmes, which achieves the Katara Cultural Village Foundation\u2019s strategy that seeks to be a meeting place for cultures.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have discussed the possibility of cooperation to organise a show of Qatari and African traditional costumes that includes clothing, jewelry and embroidery, and it will be shown in Katara as well as in the French city of Paris.\u201d Al Sulaiti also stressed that Katara has become a global beacon that draws the attention of various international bodies and organisations working in the cultural and humanitarian field to organise and host experiences international cultural and artistic creativity.<\/p>\n
