A new cultural event is set to take place in Aberdeen this month celebrating Africa.<\/p>\n
Cultural Harmony, a night of feel-good experiences, immersive cultural activities, and delicious food to Aberdeen will take place at the Therapace African concept and lifestyle store on Thistle Street on May 13.<\/p>\n
The evening will run from 6pm to 10pm and will feature a four-course dinner entirely based on authentic African dishes, handcrafted by Nigerian food expert Chef Omali.<\/p>\n
Guests can expect to enjoy sumptuous Jollof rice, juicy chicken, spiced bean stew, and a selection of delicious desserts.<\/p>\n
For those who want to extend their African culinary experience, the star prize of the night offers a private African dinner cooked by Chef Omali in the comfort of your own home.<\/p>\n
The meal will be followed by immersive cultural activities, including a bongo drum workshop and an opportunity to learn African dance steps.<\/p>\n
There will also be live African artists, storytelling, spoken words, and music to keep the audience entertained throughout the night.<\/p>\n
Professional photographers on hand to take pictures of guests enjoying themselves and trying on African clothing and jewellery.<\/p>\n
Proceeds from the event will go towards supporting north-east charities Charlie House and Befriend a Child.<\/p>\n

Cultural Harmony intends to run every 12 weeks with future events featuring a new cultural theme and city venue.<\/p>\n
