\nProlific lyricist Nasty C released his fourth studio album, I Love It Here. \u201cWhen I say I love it here, I\u2019m talking about fatherhood. I\u2019m talking about being with my girlfriend. I\u2019m talking about the headspace that I\u2019m in right now when it comes to making music,\u201d he shares in the album liner. The music on the album reflects this statement, the artist is exploring different soundscapes and is not trying to prove that he is a rapper\u2019s rapper or trying to make the hardest rap record.<\/p>\n
Cassper Nyovest ‘Solomon’<\/p>\n
Renowned rapper Cassper Nyovest dropped his seventh studio album, Solomon. Sticking to the theme of naming his hip-hop album after people close to him, Solomon is his best friend Carpo\u2019s birth name. His most minimal effort yet, the legendary rapper told Apple that this is his most personal album. \u201cI feel like I\u2019m at a point now in my career where I just genuinely want to make a solid project that I\u2019m proud of,\u201d he shares in the album\u2019s liner notes.<\/p>\n
Dlala Thukzin ‘Permanent Music 3’<\/p>\n
With every release, Dlala Thukzin always seems to catch at least one hit record. On the sequel of his Permanent Music EP series, that song is the Zaba and Sykes-featuring \u201ciPlan.\u201d The track has quickly risen to the top of multiple charts a few weeks since its release.<\/p>\n
K.O “Thatha” ft. Daliwonga<\/p>\n
Veteran artist K.O returns with a new vibrant single, \u201cThatha,\u201d just in time for summer. The Afropop track is a fusion of different genres, similar to his last hit, \u201cSETE,\u201d and features amapiano vocalist Daliwonga. \u201cI feel like it is one of those songs we’re gonna be celebrating with going into the festive season. It is also a song I think I\u2019d like to see living beyond this summer because it is a forever mood, very light-hearted, soulful, and just beautiful,\u201d K.O shared in the press release.<\/p>\n
M\u00f6rda ‘Asante II’<\/p>\n
Revered producer and former member of Black Motion, M\u00f6rda (fka Murdah Bongz), has followed up on his debut solo offering. The sequel, named after his daughter with DJ Zinhle, sees Morda expand on the sonics explored on the previous album \u2014 stacked up harmonies and horns section underscored by rhythmic drums.<\/p>\n
Anatii x Ladysmith Black Mambazo \u201cAncestral Call\u201d<\/p>\n
Versatile artist Anatii taps the legendary Ladysmith Black Mambazo on his latest aptly-titled single, \u201cAncestral Call.\u201d The spiritual-tinged record blends the two worlds of the artists and sounds like a record lifted from the musician’s last offering, the critically acclaimed Iyeza.<\/p>\n
Makhadzi Entertainment ‘Mbofholowo’<\/p>\n
Limpopo dance queen Makhadzi ushers her new era of independence with a new album, released under her own record label.
