The singer-songwriter is the second artist to be named in the initiative after Kenyan R&B musician Maya Amolo was announced as the initiative\u2019s first cover star in March.<\/p>\n
Fresh Finds Africa is a monthly programme that focuses on equipping independent artists with the resources to grow their reach and expose them to new audiences. The move adds to Spotify\u2019s other artist development programmes, including EQUAL and Radar.<\/p>\n
Born Patience Naa Oyo Titus-Glover, Kofee Bean was selected by Spotify\u2019s music team, and will benefit from, among other things, one-on-one training on the best practices of using the Spotify platform.<\/p>\n

Spotify\u2019s head of music for sub-Saharan Africa, Phiona Okumu, said: \u201cWe are continuously on the lookout for promising artists under the different hubs we have at Spotify and we want to showcase and offer them social support to grow their music careers.\u201d<\/p>\n
Kofee Bean\u2019s music is inspired by artists like Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, Sade, and A\u1e63a. Her music is a fusion of neo soul and R&B. She began singing and writing songs and poetry at the age of seven before joining the Made Africa band. Following her exit from the group, she formed her own live band. Her debut song \u2018Breathing\u2019 featuring rapper Kiddblack was released in 2021.<\/p>\n
Since its global launch in 2016, Fresh Finds has playlisted more than 25 000 artists globally, with their average monthly listeners increasing by 108% within a month of their songs being included on the playlists.<\/p>\n
