This natural preserve covers an area of 600 ha (1500 acres) and was established by the Kalahari Conservation Society in 1988. Gaborone Game Reserve contains several picnic area as well as a small visitor center in its entrance. Several species of animals and birds live here including ostriches, rhinos, eland, kudu, impala, warthogs, zebras, wildebeests and many others. Wetland section of the Gaborone Game reserve is popular with the bird watches. Many species migrate here to nest and grow their young. They are not very shy of human presence and can be viewed easily.<\/p>\n
Average January temperatures: 24 \u00b0 C; July: 12 \u00b0 C. On average, there are 74 days a year with temperatures above 32 \u00b0 C and 196 days with temperatures above 26 \u00b0 C. At the same time, there is an average of 51 days with temperatures below 7 \u00b0 C and one day with temperatures below 0 \u00b0 C.<\/p>\n
