They said Africa and Nigeria had to work towards development of the continent amid societal, political and economic failures.<\/p>\n
The duo spoke during a symposium to mark the African Liberation Day organised by the Pan African Movement of Nigeria, which held at the Dapo Aderogba Hall, Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ) Centre, Iyaganku, Ibadan.<\/p>\n
Farounbi said some African countries were still joined to their colonial masters in such a way that they could not do anything without the help and assistance of their colonial masters.<\/p>\n
Adeduntan, in his own remarks, said despite the fact that the continent has a lot of resources, Nigerians have been subjected to different environmental problems.<\/p>\n
He stressed that most of the African countries that have the capacity to explore oil are benefitting less from the exploration and suffering the most from the aftermath of pollution and environmental injustices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
