RAKIB Microfinance Bank Nigeria Ltd., formally known and called Kibiya Community Bank Ltd has twenty years operational experience with which it successfully served the rural populace within its catchment area in accordance with their beliefs, traditions, commercial and agricultural capabilities. The Bank is located at Kofar Fada Kibiya, Kibiya Local Government Area of Kano State.

The Bank started operation as Kibiya Community Bank on February 26th, 1996 with a paid-up share capital of One Million Naira (N1,000,000.00) only. It had the National Board for Community Banks (NBCB) Provisional License Number 1137 and is registered with the Corporate Affairs Commission Registration Number RC270301.

Following the pacing out of Community Banking and it’s replacement with Microfinance Banks, Rakib Microfinance Bank Nigeria Limited was then registered and has the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) License Number 000398 as successor to Kibiya Community Bank.
