The medals tally for the African nations at the 2022 Commonwealth Games in Birmingham is currently looking healthy.
With the competition being past its halfway stay, nine African nations have won 46 medals. These include 13 gold medals, 15 silvers and 18 bronze ones.
South Africa is currently ahead of the continental gold rush, followed by Nigeria, Uganda, Kenya and Cameroon. Mauritius, Gambia, Tanzania and Namibia are the other continent’s participants that have won medals.
With athletics and boxing offering a strong opportunity to gain medals, the table below is expected to improve dramatically as the final weekend approaches.
