Two powerhouses, Black Coffee and Ami Faku, are cooking up something special for music lovers.
The two musicians took to Twitter to share a video of them working in studio in collaboration with the largest record label in South Africa, Gallo Records.
Ami shared how thrilled she is to be working with the Grammy Award-winning DJ.
“Spent some time in the studio with @RealBlackCoffee. Excited to share this special project with you!! #GalloRemixed @GalloRecordCompany,” she captioned the video which was retweeted by Black Coffee.
Ami became popular after being a contestant on ‘The Voice South Africa’ in 2017.
Although she did not win the competition, it opened many doors for her musical career.
She has not only collaborated with Black Coffee, but also Sun-El Musician and Prince Kaybee.
Some of her popular songs include ‘Into Ngawe’ and ‘Imali’.
Her collaboration with Black Coffee comes after the DJ won the ‘International Achievement Award’ at the South African Music Awards over the weekend.
Black Coffee celebrated the achievement with a video on Twitter.
“For many years I’ve watched South African great artists travel the world, sell out shows, so being a recipient of this prestigious International Achievement Award is such a big deal for me,” he said.
