Lamadaya Waterfalls

Must Read

They are one of the rarest waterfalls where water flows throughout the year. If you translate the name of the waterfalls, it would have the meaning “not to be looked at”, owing it to the waterfall’s steep incline atop a high hill, falling from a great high.

There are several cascades that comprise the waterfall as well. One vertical cascade is especially high, in excess of 100 meters (328 feet). The location of the waterfalls is 2,410 meters altitude (7,907 feet) above sea level. The nearest town to them is Ilheed, which overlooks the Red Sea coast.
