The African Students Association at Montana State University will host an evening celebrating African culture. “A Night in Africa” will take place at 4 p.m. Sunday, March 6, in Ballrooms A and B in the Strand Union Building on campus. It is free and open to the public.
This is the second installment of this event hosted by the association – the first was held in March 2020. “A Night in Africa” celebrates music, fashion, food and other cultural highlights from the African continent. This year’s theme is “Tuko Pamoja,” a Swahili phrase meaning “let’s come together.”
According to Bukola Saliu, According to Bukola Saliu, president of the ASA, this year’s event intends to celebrate “our oneness as Africans, while also celebrating our diversity.”
