Napoli’s Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen has been crowned Italian player of the year. The player received his award on Monday.Osimhen has had an exceptional season to be named best player. He scored 26 Serie A goals in 2022-23, beating George Weah’s record as the most successful African in Italy’s top flight. The former Lille and Wolfsburg striker became the first African to win the AIC (Italian Footballers’ Association) award.
