Emerging Ghana: RCEE returns with new single

Must Read

Raised between Accra and Kumasi, RCEE cites African greats like Ghana’s George Darko and Daddy Lumba, Senegalese-American Akon, as well as Ivory Coast’s Alpha Blonde among his technical models. His style is defined by mellow, emotive vocals ferried by an impressive mix of multiple genres, notably reggae and highlife, to create singular Afrobeats soundscapes.

RCEE started composing and recording music in high school with his debut single ‘Odo Colour’ arriving in 2017 before he took some time off to finish college.

Earlier this month, the singer, who will now be represented by Beehyve Entertainment and Luuknow, announced his return with the single ‘Made In Ghana’.

“It came with a lot of emotional stress – making amazing songs each and every day without putting them out,” the artist said about his decision to put a hold on his career. “But I was consoled because school was equally important and that break came with a blessing to help me develop myself.”
