And they did not miss a beat at the 2022 Igbo New Yam Festival held at the Nigerian High Commission last Saturday. It was indeed a fashion parade of sorts, with Dr Maureen Tamuno, Nigerian high commissioner to Jamaica, leading the way with an eye-catching, bright-yellow gele (headwrap) to headline her ensemble.
From men to women, boy to girl, almost everybody was an eye-catcher, and our Living camera lenses were kept busy. It was an evening of food, fun, frolicking and fashion.
